
David Reignier was born and raised in Vallejo, CA and considers the Bay Area his home. He joins us with a strong academic background in law and international relations, complemented by significant professional experience in legal practice, educational leadership, and non-profit management. His dedication to community service and global outreach is evidenced by his role at the D’Lonier Foundation. David's diverse skill set and commitment to legal excellence makes him a valuable addition to our team at Rose Law Firm of Napa Valley.
David received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in 2016. At UC Davis David received Dean’s Honors and a Departmental Citation awarded in recognition of undergraduate accomplishment in Political Science. Additionally, David minored in Education while at UC Davis.
David received a Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations with a Concentration in Conflict Resolution from Northeastern University in 2020. David’s thesis “Drivers of Conflict in Somalia” addressed the origins of conflict and the rise of power of warlords taking advantage of failing governments. David developed multiple case studies on the Rwandan genocide, highlighting the impact of misappropriated foreign aid on collapsing developing democracies.
David received a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco, School of Law in 2024. During his time at USF School of Law, David participated in a student/parent coalition to advocate for the rights of law students who were parents of young children. At USF School of Law, David was a member of the Business Law Association and Students of Tax and Estate Planning Society. Additionally, David was an active member and participant in the Center for Contemplative Law & Ethics which focused on the importance of mindfulness as a regular practice in the law.
During his last year of law school, David interned as a Law Clerk for The Honorable Daniel J. Healy, at the Solano County Superior Court, where he gained invaluable experience in the judicial process. David observed court proceedings and all stages of trial matters, further enhancing his understanding of courtroom dynamics and the intricacies of legal arguments. Through this role, David developed a keen attention to detail and a solid foundation in the application of legal principles.
During the summers between law school, David started at Rose Law Firm of Napa Valley where he served as a Law Clerk. His duties included drafting internal firm engagement contracts, estate planning portfolios, real property lease agreements, and acquisition purchase agreements. David played a pivotal role in resolving client issues related to Proposition 19. He was actively involved in attending probate hearings at Solano Superior Court, conducting in-depth research on California probate codes and local court procedures, drafting legal motions, and managing corporate compliance for client entities.
Since 2009, David has been the Chief Executive Officer of the D’Lonier Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing public education and helping students succeed. Under his leadership, the foundation has established significant partnerships with other non-profits, resulting in the donation of over 20,000 books to establish libraries in Kenya. David has overseen the provision of more than $100,000 in educational scholarships to support students' academic pursuits. Additionally, David established an endowment fund at the University of California, Davis, to increase opportunities for students to study abroad, thereby broadening their educational horizons and experiences.
In 2024, David presented at the Blockchain Law Symposium for the Center for Law, Tech, and Social Good. His thesis, “Using Blockchain and AI to Prevent Corporate Fraud” addresses the implementation of artificial intelligence as a security measure to prevent corporate fraud in wake the of the FTX fallout.
Additionally, David serves a mentor at the Jesse Bethel High School Law Academy. The academy connects high school students with successful, professional role models in the legal field who can help encourage and inspire the students, guiding them in their future career path.
In January 2025, David officially joined the Rose Law Firm of Napa Valley family as a dedicated attorney with remarkable ambition and compassion.
