Your Estate Planning Experience with Rose Law Firm of Napa Valley

Planning ahead for the future of your property and the well-being of your loved ones can save your heirs significant time, money, and stress. A well-crafted estate plan ensures a smooth transfer of your assets according to your wishes and helps avoid probate – the costly and time-consuming court process of administering a deceased person’s estate.

The Cost of Probate

Probate fees in California can be substantial, involving court filing fees, bond premiums, and more. To get an overview of probate costs, please visit our Probate Costs and Calculator page.

Our estate planning services are designed to help you avoid these unnecessary expenses and ensure a smooth transfer of your assets according to your wishes.

What to Expect at Your First Estate Planning Consultation

During your initial consultation, our attorney will take the time to learn about you, your family, your finances, and your goals. At the end of this conversation, the attorney will recommend a range of estate planning strategies tailored to your needs and provide an exact fixed-fee quote for each option.

Virtual Meetings: All consultations are conducted virtually through Zoom or phone.

Our Estate Planning Packages and Brochure

We offer a range of estate planning packages designed to meet different needs. To help you better understand what each plan includes, please refer to our detailed Estate Planning Brochure, which you can access here. The brochure outlines our plans and the associated starting prices, which we have proudly maintained since 2018.

The Estate Planning Process: A Simplified Overview

If you choose to move forward after your consultation, our process involves three key steps:

  1. Agreement and Deposit: After the consultation, we will send you an agreement for signature via DocuSign, along with a request for a deposit (usually 50% of the flat fee). The deposit will be held in a Client IOLTA Account until the full balance is due.
  2. Onboarding: Once we receive the signed agreement and deposit, we will contact you to begin the Three-Meeting Process:
    • Questionnaire Appointment: Conducted via Zoom or phone. The attorney will gather all necessary information to draft your plan.
    • Review Appointment: Also held via Zoom or phone, allowing you to review the draft of your estate plan.
    • Signing Appointment: Conducted in-office with our in-house notary.
  3. Payment of Remaining Balance: The remaining balance is due when the drafts are ready for your review, and no later than your Review Appointment. An invoice will be sent to you once the drafts are prepared.

Virtual Meetings: All meetings, except the final signing, are conducted virtually through Zoom or phone. The signing appointment will take place at our office.

Secure Communication: Using Our Client Portal

For security reasons, we use a Client Portal for all communications. After you schedule your appointment, we will contact you within 1 business day to provide access to our secure portal, Communicate. Please look for an email from [email protected].

After you gain access to the portal, all updates and communications are conducted through this secure platform, ensuring the privacy of your information. This approach replaces traditional email or other forms of communication to better protect your privacy and enhance your communications with our whole team.

You can find more information about our Client Portal (Communicate) and how to access it in the links below:
